Welcome to the 2027 New Zealand Sunburst Nationals to be held at Muritai Yacht Club, Eastbourne, Wellington.
Start planning for a fun time at Eastbourne over next Auckland Anniversary weekend.
Keep checking this link https://www.myc.org.nz/sunburst-nats for information updates including the Notice of Race (which should be available in August 2026).

The entry fees are:
Earlybird (by 19th January, at 2000 hrs) $180
Standard (by 26th January, at 2000 hrs) $200
Sea Scout $150-
This club will cater light meals after sailing each day (this will be free for skippers and crews)
The entry fee includes two souvenir 2027 Nationals cap (lightweight and good for wearing when sailing– these were very popular last time we ran the Sunburst Nationals and most our home fleet still wear them). Late registrations cannot be guaranteed to get these. 🙁
Eastbourne does not have hotel or motel accommodation, but we are only 12 minutes around the harbour (a scenic drive with a brand-new waterfront shared bike/walking path) from a good holiday park https://www.wellingtontop10.co.nz/ .
Petone and Lower Hutt (15-20 minutes max) have a variety of motels and hotels.
The yacht club is adjacent a kids’ playground and outdoor swimming pool. It’s a two-minute walk to good cafes, eateries and takeaways in the Eastbourne village and ten-minute walk to the pub and the cafes and the harbour ferry wharf at picturesque Days Bay.
Petone is legendary for its many interesting and ethnic restaurants.
You can enjoy apres sail refreshments in the club's Blue Penguin Bar and in the afternoon/evening sun on the deck. The Eastbourne Wharf provides great viewing of the racing area.
