ADULT LEARN TO SAIL
We are currently offering one to one coaching to teach adults the basics of how to sail. Participants will learn to sail with a coach in the clubs RS Feva boat, following Yachting New Zealand guidelines. The skills learnt in the process are transferable to all the classes that sail out of MYC. Once you are confident the coach will put you in touch with sailors form the class or classes you are interested in trying and provide guidance for progression.
The cost is $60 an hour which includes one to one coaching and the use of the RS Feva for the hour. A further one-off fee of $60 give you Honorary Membership of the club and provides access to club facilities for the season. You will need to provide your own ‘sailing gear’ which just needs to be a buoyancy aid (preferred) or life jacket and wet gear to keep you warm for the conditions such as a wetsuit and spray jacket, nothing too fancy when just starting out. The club may have some spare gear if you need it. If you have questions about this add them in your expression of interest form.
Please fill out the following form and one of our coaches will get back to you.
